Hey Networkers, guess who we have in “The Conversation” this week!
And you already KNOW we asked him “what do you do?”
Thanks so much for being with us this week Larry! Let’s go ahead and get started, was owning your own business always a part of your plan?
No, it actually was not. I had lost my job at the time and needed to make income, so I started my business in 2012 and took out a small loan of $4,000. I’ve always had a love for auto detailing before my dad died, he left me a 1977 Chevy truck and would always tell me “a dirty car is the first sign you are not taking care of it.”
That’s an amazing story! How did you learn to market your business in order to gain clients for your new business?
I work social media a lot and I’m from here I was born and raised in Decatur, GA so I kind of already had a network built up. Also, word of mouth has also worked a lot for me and it goes a long way.
So, through social media and all the networking you’ve done is there anyone that you’d like to collaborate with and why?
I would like to collaborate with other entrepreneurs to reach back and mentor the youth and explain the pros and cons of entrepreneurship.
That sounds great! Do you have a passion for working with the youth?
Yes! I started a “Washes to Wishes” program and last year we gave out bikes to less fortunate kids. My passion is kids I used to be a teacher and I love to help the youth.
Yes! We love to hear that you’re giving back to the youth and your community. Is there any advice you can give the kids or anyone that wants to become an entrepreneur?
Yes, keep your faith because it will get hard.
