Hey Networkers, guess who we have in “The Conversation” this week!
This week we have Yasmin Watts, a Photographer and the Creative Guru behind the lenses of Yasmin Watts Photography.
And you KNOW we asked her “What do you do?”
So, I got started a couple of years ago. My boyfriend was the one who gave me my first camera because he saw how much I loved taking photos. Him giving me the camera was the first steps of me going through with photography as a business. Since then, I've stopped at nothing to share my talent with others as well as work with other powerhouses on the rise in branding their businesses.
That’s so sweet! Since there are so many photographers today, tell us more about your business and how you market yourself to clients.
For my business Yasmin Watts Photography, I shoot all different genres. Lately, I really have been focusing on working with entrepreneurs and their brand. I am a creative photographer, and I help entrepreneurs bring their creative vision to life; helping to create organic photos and content that will be profitable in building and branding their businesses. To market myself, I network of course and use social media flyers!
That sounds great and you’ve been doing a dope job with the content. Do you have anyone specific in mind you would like to work with and why?
I love working with Tasha (Natasha Hall; CEO of My Networking Apparel) it has been great collaborating with her because I’ve been able to network and work with a lot of other entrepreneurs and create content for their brand. I also value being able to work and collaborate with other women on this journey to complete success. Being able to focus on bridging the gap, eliminating competition and coming together is powerful.
That’s so inspiring Yasmin, there need to be more women working together nowadays. Do you have any advice for any other entrepreneurs struggling with networking and marketing?
Yes, I will say to know who you are and understand YOU are your brand. Everything you put out is a reflection of you. Make sure whatever it is you want to do you give 100%, know your sales pitch and target audience and don't be afraid if and when you are told no. Let your brand be the main attraction in a room full of people.
